What a Way to Begin the Month!

I'm so excited....more than usual! A card from Denmark arrived today with a lovely postcard and note from Susanne, aka Dantatter. We were exchange partners at InTatters.

This is the beautiful bookmark I received! Happy Dance. Especially since it is from a tatter who lives in my Grandfather's homeland. Thank you so much, Susanne! You made my day!

What a beautiful bookmark! I wish I had gotten in on that exchange. I read about it too late!

Hello Bev,
I am happy the bookmark arrived so quickly and that you like it. I didn't know what colours you like but I used a variegated Altin Basak and a white DMC cordonnet. So it is around a size 30 thread, I can not tat with the thinner threads like size 80 unfortunately.
I am glad I was able to be a small greeting from your grandfather's homeland. There are quite a number of tatters in the US with Danish ancestors I have found out, lol.
I hope you'll have a lovely day on the other side of the big pond.
Susanne

Hi Diane...oooh, I'm sorry you missed it...perhaps we'll have another exchange...
frankly, I haven't had much good fortune with some exchanges...but I thought I'd give bookmarks one more go...LOL Life Happens, and I understand that...
BUT, I'm so glad I DID participate and was paired with Suzanne (on the other hand..she is receiving mine!) LOL
I def. get the best of that deal!

love, Bev

Susanne. :) Yes, the midwest is full of Danes and Germans..We have a bunch at our Lutheran Church here in the high desert! They left the cold climates of Wisc., Minn., Iowa, Nebraska and retired to the warms of the Southwest. Except some winters we Do get 3 feet of snow! LOL
I love the colors...Like a field of little flowers...I just can't put it away...so I have it laying on my bedside table so I can look at it! LOL But it's going in my Bible and I'm 'showing off' tomorrow; to my friends at church.
Thank you again...and yours has been posted.
I like size 30 thread. I hardly ever tat with really fine threads, since I'm relatively new at this art form. But I use less size 20 than I formerly used.
hugs, Bev
