. . .”bring May flowers"

Southern New Mexico has not had any rain at all, so much of our surroundings are tinder dry and fires are the elephant in the room!  I needed a quick bookmark for the Tatting Forum bookmark a month challenge, and went to Kaye Judt’s book, “A Little O’ This A Little O’ Tat”.  It isn’t my favorite book, but it was at hand and I needed a bookmark!  I’ve decided to tat a few things from the book and then give it to someone who might enjoy it more.  This is called Blossom Bookmark and is a ‘fast tat’.  She suggested 2 shuttles; but I used three so I could have a stem with more body.  Also, since I used leftover thread on 3 shuttles, I wasn’t that particular about the colors.  It is all Lisbeth thread. OOPS, it also has a bit of TatSkool’s Antique Bronze as a mix with the green.    Finished, it still seems a little flimsy and without substance to me...but it does work as a bookmark and that is all that was needed.  I’m finding that I can’t tat with quite a tight tension as I had been doing; since the right wrist still has a bit of discomfort.  My next bookmark is going to be Nancy Tracy’s Baseball Bat; a project that I can really enjoy and get ‘into’.  LOL

Hi MS bj!
♥♥Happy Mom's Day to you♥♥

The bookmark looks pretty good to me - tension is quite all right. Consider in the wrist is still sore you are doing admirably.

Reminds me of a story my dad told about a man who had an operation on his hand. When he saw his doc for his post-op, he asked if he would be able to play the piano.

The doc responded that absolutely, as soon as the stitches were out he would be good to go and could play right away.

"Fantastic, " the man said. "I've always wanted to be able to play the piano!"

How did I miss this post? I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I'm flabbergasted... I can't find email addresses, mailing addresses... my organization skills have left me... temporarily, I hope! Did you want the pink or yellow Mother hanky? Is the address I have on hand from our Christmas exchange the one I should use?

My apologies for my flightiness. The only thing I can figure is that the end of the school year is getting to me!

Oh Fox, I loved the joke which I shared with husband.
And Sherry, thanks for remembering and the compliment.
. . .and Diane, the end of the school year always left me frazzled. Don’t sweat the small stuff (pssst. it’s all small stuff)
The hankie arrived and it is lovely..It is my next thing to do on my list..now to choose an edging.
