BE THANKFUL: FOR SITES THAT TEACH

Jon not only creates beautiful tatting; she also shares techniques on her site. Split Chains are a element that can be used as a bridge to another element (such as a Split Ring). They are not in every pattern, but appear in many of the patters I would like to tat. Consequently, I've returned to the Beginner's Class to get 'help' with this intermediate-level technique. Just as Split Chains are a bridge in tatting, they are also a sort of bridle up to intermediate tatting. As an experienced beginner, I am moving on towards intermediate tatting in the coming year by improving tension (consistency) and learning new techniques (such as split chains, SCMR's).
